Vhi – The Online Advantage- Encouraging customers to do more transactions online

29th May 2018, Vhi today launched the Online Advantage- a scheme designed to grow the number of new and existing Vhi customers who engage and transact with them online. Over the last twelve months, Vhi has expanded its digital footprint providing a variety of new tools and services which makes it easier for customers to do business with them and want more customers to avail of these benefits. To incentivise the move to online Vhi customers will be offered a one-off reward of €50 per adult policy holder who signs up for automated payments and a further €50, per adult (over 18) customer, if they opt to receive documentation online. Customers must sign up online before 1st September 2018 www.vhi.ie/onlineadvantage.

 In 2017, Vhi launched innovative new online services including the Vhi Mobile Health Assistant to help customers manage their policy and health information. The app provides Vhi customers with access to digital medical supports such as Online GP, One to One Midwife, Nurseline and a Vhi Swiftcare Locator along with access to policy information and Snap & Send Claiming. 2018 will see additional new services and further app innovations.

Commenting on Vhi’s continued move into the digital and online environment, Mr Declan Moran, Director, Marketing and Business Development, Vhi said: “the way customers interact has changed with many preferring digital. He added “Given recent changes to data protection legislation and the introduction of GDPR there is now an onus on us to correspond directly with each insured adult over 18 years of age rather than just the policy holder. We need to collect contact details for all these customers and establish a direct communication channel with all adult dependants. We hope that the Online Advantage will help us do this while at the same time making our customers’ lives easier by enabling them to do their business with us online.”

Vhi has invested significantly in digital infrastructure over the last number of years and as a result has improved the digital offering for customers.  Vhi have used technology to make it easier for customers to manage their policy through www.vhi.ie , webchat, digital membership card, snap and send and also to take care of their health through access to the Online GP, Visioncare and Vee – a chatbot who motivates users to take part in healthy activities.

New services include:

  • Enhanced user experience on vhi.ie and myvhi.ie
  • Launched a Vhi Mobile health Assistant  app
  • Created a Vhi digital membership card so customers always have access to policy details

Vhi has also developed a range of health services that customers can now access online:

  • Vhi Online Doctor – offering access to a GP through an online platform
  • Vhi Snap &Send – where customers can submit their day-to-day claims and get money paid directly into their bank account.  Vhi customers who have entered the Vhi Women’s Women Marathon on the 3rd June 2018 can claim back their entry fee by uploading their receipt using Snap and Send .
  • Vhi Vision Care – an online eye screening service
  • Online- customer care via webchat

Customers can claim their cash rewards through www.vhi.ie/onlineadvantage and the offer is open to new and existing customers.  Customers who sign up before the 1st September 2018 will receive their cash reward after the closing date of the 1st September 2018.
