Use of Information and Resources
Vhi makes this site and the links accessible through it, available only for the purpose of providing general information on Vhi health insurance and on health-related issues this also extends to physical activities such as parkruns. This site and its health-related information and resources are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice or for the care that patients receive from their doctors. Nothing in this site, or the links accessible through it, is intended to be used for medical diagnosis or treatment and information contained on this site should not be relied on for that purpose. Always seek the advice of your doctor before beginning any new treatment or if you should have any questions regarding a medical condition. You should not disregard medical advice, or delay seeking medical advice, because of something you read in this site or the links accessible through it.
Vhi makes Vhi health assistant application and the links accessible through it, available only for the purpose of providing access to your policy benefits and details of, Vhi services like NurseLine 24/7, Snap & Send and parkrun, health coach and online GP.
You understand and agree that Vhi Healthcare is not responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage directly or indirectly resulting from your use of this site and mobile application or the information or the resources contained on or accessible through this site and mobile application.
You will not directly or indirectly place on the site or mobile application any material that (i) infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party or any rights of publicity or privacy, (ii) violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including without limitation, the laws and regulations governing export control, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising), (iii) is defamatory, libellous, threatening or harassing, (iv) is obscene, pornographic or harmful to minors or (v) contains any viruses, or other computer programming routines that damage (or are intended to damage), detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information ("Offending Content"). You agree to indemnify Vhi Healthcare for all losses, damages, liabilities and reasonable expenses which they incur in the defence of any third party claim arising in connection with placement of Offending Content by you on the site or mobile application.
Disclaimer of Warranty
Vhi disclaims all express or implied representations or warranties regarding the information, services, and any other resources available on or accessible through this site and mobile application, including (without limitation) any implied warranties. All such information, services and other resources are made available "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind.
Vhi disclaims all responsibility and liability of any description, including without limitation liability for negligence, incidental or consequential damages and/or loss suffered by any person acting or refraining from action as a result of or in connection with material on this site or mobile applicatoin, to include any reliance placed by such person on such material, or the viewing or use or performance of this site and mobile application.
Disclaimer and Confidentiality Notice
Emails and any files transmitted with it contain information which may be confidential and which may also be privileged and is intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom it is addressed. Unless you are the intended recipient you may not copy or use it, or disclose it to anyone else. Any opinions expressed are that of the individual and not necessarily that of Vhi Healthcare. If you have received an e-mail in error please notify the sender by return. This note also confirms that the e-mail message has been swept for the presence of computer viruses.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Vhi Healthcare be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever, resulting from any loss of use, loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, litigation, or any other pecuniary loss, whether based on breach of contract, tort (including negligence), product liability or otherwise arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of this site and mobile application with the delay or inability to use this site or mobile application, including for the avoidance of doubt reliance on information provided on this site, with the delay or inability to use this site or mobile application, or with the provision of, or failure to make available any information, services, products, materials or other resources available on or accessible through this site and mobile application, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Vhi does not guarantee the sequence, accuracy, or completeness of any information or content on this or any other internet sites /mobile application and shall not be liable in any way to you or anyone else who may use the information or content or to whom the information or content may be furnished, for any delays, inaccuracies, unavailability, errors or omissions therefrom or in the transmission or delivery of all or any part thereof or for any damage arising therefrom or occasioned thereby.
You acknowledge and agree that the limitation set forth above are fundamental elements of this agreement and the site or mobile application would not be provided to you in the absence of such limitations.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vhi from any liability, loss, claim, and expense (including reasonable legal fees) related to your violation of this agreement.
Miscellaneous
Vhi's failure to insist upon strict enforcement of any provision(s) of this agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right.
Vhi Healthcare serves Vhi Healthcare members, Irish residents and employers whose principal place of business is in Ireland. Vhi Healthcare is licensed to underwrite health coverage in the Republic of Ireland only and does not engage in the business of insurance outside Ireland, except as may be permitted by law. Nothing contained in this website, with the exception of MyVhi and the mobile application, shall constitute a solicitation, offer or acceptance of a contract of insurance or be construed as creating or modifying any agreement with Vhi Healthcare.
This agreement and the resolution of any dispute related to this agreement or this site and mobile application shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any legal action or proceeding between Vhi Healthcare and you, related to this agreement or this site or the mobile application shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Ireland.
Copyright
All materials on this server, this website and mobile app, including the design, layout and organisation are owned or licensed by Vhi Healthcare and protected by copyright.
Only personal use of such materials is permitted, which means that you may access, download, or print such materials for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to change or delete any copyright or proprietary notice from materials downloaded from this site and mobile app or any site accessible through this site or mobile app.

Access to Member Services
Access to Member Services is provided on the understanding that it allows currently registered members view or administer their health insurance cover from Vhi. Policyholders act for all members included on the policy with regard to the administration of the policy (e.g. cover changes, payments/refunds, renewals and addition/deletion of dependants. Use for any other purpose is prohibited. Vhi will endeavour to provide access to the system at the agreed times, but no warranty is given. Vhi may terminate access to Member Services at its own discretion.
Data
- The Policyholder undertakes that, to the best of his/her knowledge and belief, any information provided via Member Login is true and complete.
- Inappropriate use of Member Login will result in access to Member Login being revoked by Vhi.
- Please see Vhi's Data Protection Statement, which contains details of the personal data we collect in relation to our customers, how we use that personal data, and your rights under data protection law. The Data Protection Statement can be found at https://www.vhi.ie/privacy-policy
- If a member decided to join the Vhi parkrun rewards programme they are consenting to the verification of their parkrun account. Through an API transaction between parkrun and Vhi. The users name and DOB will be verified. This information will NOT be transferred or stored.
- Installation of the Vhi Health Assistant app on a device that has had its operating system compromised by the process of Jailbreaking or Rooting is not permitted and may result in the security of your personal data being compromised. Jailbreaking (iOS) and Rooting (Android) is the process by which users can remove software restrictions imposed on devices running iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
Access to MyVhi
Access to MyVhi is provided on the understanding that it allows currently registered members view or administer their health insurance cover from Vhi. Policyholders act for all members included on the policy with regard to the administration of the policy (e.g. cover changes, payments/refunds, renewals and addition/deletion of dependants. Use for any other purpose is prohibited. Vhi will endeavour to provide access to the system at the agreed times, but no warranty is given. Vhi may terminate access to MyVhi at its own discretion.
Access to Vhi Mobile Health Assistant
Access to Vhi Mobile Health Assistant is provided on the understanding that it allows currently registered members view or administer their health insurance cover from Vhi. Policyholders act for all members included on the policy with regard to the administration of the policy (e.g. cover changes, payments/refunds, renewals and addition/deletion of dependants). The parkrun feature is also included in this. Use for any other purpose is prohibited. Vhi will endeavour to provide access to the system at the agreed times, but no warranty is given. Vhi may terminate access to Vhi Mobile Health Assistant at its own discretion.
Security/Authentication
- The Policyholder undertakes that, to the best of his/her knowledge and belief, any information provided via Member Login is true and complete.
- Inappropriate use of Member Login will result in access to Member Login being revoked by Vhi.
Documentation
The customer by agreeing to receive documentation online is confirming to Vhi their preference of communication.
All future policy documentation and claims statements will be sent to the customer online only.
Any policy changes or claims that are in progress at the time of the customer changing their documentation preferences will continue down the existing correspondence route.
Versioning
We will send you Email/SMS alerts informing you of new documents which can be viewed in MyVhi. The information contained in these documents is accurate at the time they were issued to you.
Subsequent updates to your policy documentation will be included in the current versions which can be viewed in the policy and claims sections.
Acting on Instructions
The member authorises Vhi to act upon all instructions received in respect of the policy (in accordance with the policy terms and conditions) once accompanied by the appropriate login details, which have been or appear to Vhi to have been issued by the member, without taking any further steps to authenticate such instructions. Vhi will accept instructions from policyholders 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Instructions will be effected as soon as is reasonably possible.
Recording
Vhi Healthcare shall record Instructions received by way of MyVhi and, in the event of any dispute arising in relation to any instructions or alleged instructions, the record so kept by Vhi Healthcare shall be proof of such instructions or alleged instructions for the purpose of such dispute.
Alteration of the Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions may be altered by Vhi Healthcare at its discretion from time to time and will be altered by Vhi Healthcare to comply with any regulatory directive or to enhance the security of MyVhi. Any such alteration will be notified to you by a posting an updated version of the terms and conditions on this Website.
Communications
Communications between members and Vhi via the Ask the Experts service are not encrypted - please do not use these services if this causes you concern.

All pages on this site were developed to reach conformance rating Double A with WCAG and comply with all priority 1 and 2 checkpoints of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v 1.0.
Design
The site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and visual formatting (with rare exception for certain components of some pages). If your browser does not support CSS or your wish to turn it off then all pages are still easily readable and actionable.
All fonts are scalable - most browsers provide a means to specify default base text-size.
