Routine dental care
With Vhi Dental you will be covered for 2 check-ups and cleanings per year (limits apply).

Our dental plans provide a benefit towards the cost of orthodontic treatment for adults and children.

Dental exams, cleaning and X-rays
For children and adults:
- Routine exams, 2 per year up to €100 per treatment
- Private consultation, 1 per year up to €150 per consultation
- Cleanings, 2 per year up to €120 per treatment
- X-ray cover, limits apply

Filling and extractions
For children and adults-covered after three months:
- Fillings and simple extractions 70% cover.
- Treatment of gum disease 70% cover.
Just for children:
- Space maintainers and stainless steel crowns (up to 18 years) 70% cover.
Crowns, veneers, dentures and more
- Crowns, onlays, inlays, veneers and root canal 50%.
- Dentures, bridge and implant supported crowns 50%.
When you've been with us for one year, you can access these major treatments. Bear in mind, a €750** annual maximum applied to crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers, and €1,000** to dentures, bridge and implant supported crowns. See your Table of Benefits for full details.
Dental Implants - covered after 3 months
- Dental implant - €2,000* per fixture.
This can be accessed due to a dental injury following an accident with a maximum of 5 fixtures per policy year. See your Table of Benefits for full details.
Oral Cancer benefit
- Lump sum payment of €5,000* upon diagnosis of a primary Oral Cancer - paid once, per person, per lifetime.
Orthodontic benefit for all
For children and adults - covered after 2 years:
- Lifetime orthodontic benefit up to €1,250**.
