Physiotherapy
Assessment and treatment of acute and chronic injuries.
Service
Our physiotherapy service provides follow-up for patients presenting to our clinics. It is designed to assess and treat a range of acute injuries.
We treat issues including:
• Acute joint sprains and muscle strains (e.g. ankle sprains or calf strains).
• Rehabilitation following fracture healing when cleared by your doctor (e.g. wrist fracture).
We also provide specialist Hand Therapy services and a Pelvic Health physiotherapy.
All of our physiotherapists are registered with CORU which is Ireland's regulator for multiple health and social care professions.
Before being referred for face-to-face physiotherapy, your doctor will discuss appropriate treatment options – based on your presenting complaint. The options could include;
- A referral for face-to-face physiotherapy
- A referral to a group exercise programme
- A recommendation for virtual physiotherapy services
If referred for face to face physiotherapy, your initial evaluation with one of our team will discuss your history, assess the injury and make a treatment plan individualised to your clinical needs.
Your treatment plan may involve a range of options such as guidance on what activities you are allowed to do, prescription of a home exercise programme, gym based exercises, radial pressure wave therapy, dry needling, group classes or onward referral depending on what is clinically best for your healing and recovery.
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing very high demand with our physiotherapy service. This is affecting our current waiting times.
