Vhi to introduce an average premium increase of 2%

28th September 2015 – Vhi today announced that it will increase its prices by an average of 2% with effect from 1st November 2015.  The increases will vary across plans and will range between 1% and 5% (see table below).

According to Declan Moran, Director of Marketing and Business Development, “Vhi remains committed to keeping prices as low as possible. Today’s modest price increase is the first in twenty months and is necessary to cover the rising costs of our customer’s claims. More of our customers require access to quality healthcare including access to new and improved medical technologies, new life saving drugs and new treatments as they come available but these come at a cost.”

He concluded “Vhi is totally committed to managing costs and reducing inefficiencies in our business in order to keep health insurance affordable for our customers.”
