Vhi parkrun 

parkrun is a free weekly community event where you can walk, jog, run or volunteer at your own pace.

As proud presenting partners of parkrun Ireland, Vhi is supporting people across Ireland to get moving, connect with others and live longer, stronger, healthier lives.

The 2026 Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon took place on Sunday, 31st May in Dublin City Centre.

Vhi Couch to parkrun

Vhi's Couch to parkrun programme helps to get you moving and discover parkrun at your own pace.

Over six weeks, participants receive:

  •  A weekly training plan
  •  Recipes to help fuel your progress
  •  Practical advice from Vhi experts
  • Support from the parkrun community

We are bringing the Vhi Couch to parkrun roadshow to different parkrun locations around Ireland throughout the programme, with our Ambassadors David Gillick & Fionnuala Jones joining in the fun. Keep an eye on our channels for more details.

Vhi parkrun practice

Vhi 360 Health Centres became part of the ‘parkrun practice’ initiative in 2023 which was set up by parkrun Ireland in collaboration with the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP). ‘parkrun practice’ encourage GP practices across Ireland to develop close links with their local parkrun, and encourage patients and carers to take part in their local parkrun to help promote the physical and mental health benefits of participation in local 5km parkrun events. Vhi 360 Health Centres in Carrickmines, Swords, Dundrum, Limerick, Cork and Galway all participate in the parkrun practice initiative.

The Vhi parkrun Hero monthly award looks to recognise and reward inspirational, hardworking and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of parkrun or have made an outstanding contribution - be they participants or volunteers.

So, if you think someone from your local parkrun deserves to be celebrated as a Vhi parkrun Hero please tell us a little bit about them using the form below. Winners will be announced on a monthly basis and will receive a €250 One4All voucher and a plaque courtesy of Vhi.
