Join the Garrihys at Vhi’s Run Together Day on April 14th

Doireann, Aoibhín, Ailbhe and Claire Garrihy, members of the Vhi Run Squad, today launched the 2018 Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon ‘Run Together Day’ which will take place at Porterstown parkrun, Dublin 15 and Lees Road parkrun, Co. Clare.
Vhi, presenting partner of parkrun and title sponsor of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon is calling on walkers, joggers and runners of all ages and abilities to join the Vhi Run Squad in kick-starting their training 7 weeks out from the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on Bank holiday Sunday, 3rd June at 2pm.
Vhi and the Garrihys will attend two parkruns on Saturday 14th April. Doireann and Ailbhe will visit Porterstown parkrun in Dublin 15 while Aoibhín and Claire will take part in the Lees Road parkrun in Co. Clare with both events commencing at 9.30am. Vhi will be on hand in helping newcomers and regular parkrun participants refuel after their morning exercise and providing refreshments at the finish line. Over the course of the 7 weeks, the Garrihys will document their journey to the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon across their social media platforms helping to motivate and inspire women around the country.
As a Vhi member reward, Vhi is pleased to announce that those who register for the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon and pay the €23 registration fee will be able to get the full fee refunded if they have private medical insurance with Vhi. Vhi customers can claim their €23 reward using the Snap & Send online claiming tool on the Vhi App. Members can ‘snap’ a photo of their registration fee receipt and ‘send’ it via the simple Snap & Send process. You can download the free Vhi App via the app store.

parkrun in partnership with Vhi supports local communities in organising free, weekly, timed 5km runs every Saturday morning at 88 venues all over Ireland, with around 10,000 people of every age and ability taking part each week. You will then receive a personal barcode which acts as your free entry to any parkrun event worldwide.
