  • You can get advice from our team of nurses any time of the day or night with Vhi NurseLine.
  • Based in Ireland, our nurses answer questions and concerns on a wide range of medical issues.
  • NurseLine is available to our members 365 days a year.

Vhi NurseLine 24/7 is operated by Vhi Insurance DAC. It is staffed by a team of fully qualified nurses based in Ireland.

The information provided is based on the nurses' own experience and the use of up-to-date computer-based protocol systems. Information provided by this service is based purely on that submitted by the requester.

Please note, this is not a diagnostic service and should not be used as an emergency service or as an alternative to seeking the professional advice of your doctor or other healthcare professional. If you require urgent care call 999 or 112.

The team can provide access to validated general information on the following:

  • Medical conditions, their causes (where known), symptoms, effects, coping with the symptoms and living with the condition.
  • Details of healthcare providers and support groups.
  • Details of local pharmacies and other services. 
  • Information on medications and their interactions.
