The information provided is based on the nurses' own experience and the use of up-to-date computer-based protocol systems. Information provided by this service is based purely on the information submitted by the requester. Telephone assessment/medical advice and information on specific medical issues are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling Vhi NurseLine 24/7. The team can provide access to validated general information on the following:
- Medical conditions, their causes (where known), symptoms, effects, coping with the symptoms and living with the condition.
- Details of healthcare providers and support groups.
- Details of local pharmacies and other services.
- Information on medications and their interactions.
