Vhi NurseLine 24/7 is a confidential phone and online support service, available 365 days a year for Vhi Healthcare members. Based in Ireland, our nurses can answer your questions and concerns on a wide range of medical issues.

Our qualified nurses can answer questions on medical issues, including…

  • Aches and pains.
  • General health information.
  • Pregnancy.
  • Sexual health advice.
  • Holiday health advice like insect bite treatments and more.


Our nurses/midwives provide general midwifery, triage and medical information. It is not a diagnostic or emergency service and it in no way replaces your GP or consultant. If you require urgent care or diagnostic treatment, please dial 999 or speak to your GP.

To access Vhi NurseLine 24/7, all you need is your policy number. You may be asked some security questions for verification purposes.

Vhi NurseLine 24/7

Vhi NurseLine 24/7 is operated by Collinson Assistance Services Limited on behalf of Vhi Insurance DAC. It is staffed by a team of fully qualified nurses based in Ireland. 

The information provided is based on the nurses' own experience and the use of up-to-date computer-based protocol systems. Information provided by this service is based purely on the information submitted by the requester.  Please note that this is not a diagnostic service and should not be used as an emergency service or as an alternative to seeking the professional advice of your doctor or other healthcare professional. If you require urgent care call 999 or 112.

Phone service

Telephone assessment/medical advice and information on specific medical issues are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling Vhi NurseLine 24/7. The team can provide access to validated general information on the following:

  • Medical conditions, their causes (where known), symptoms, effects, coping with the symptoms and living with the condition.
  • Details of healthcare providers and support groups.
  • Details of local pharmacies and other services. 
  • Information on medications and their interactions.
